Performance and Discussion: The Blues
Afro-American Studies professor, author, and singer-harmonica player Steve Tracy and two other members of the local blues group The King Bees will present a concert of blues drawn from their repertoire of originals and blues classics. Together, Tracy, Dick Amberman, and Leif Laudamus have logged over a century of combined experience in the blues field opening for B.B. King Muddy Waters, Albert King, Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee, and many others. In addition to the concert, the group will be available to answer questions about the blues, instrumental techniques, and other issues related to the music.
