Sen. John Kerry Speaks on Grassroots Democracy
U.S. Senator John F. Kerry, the 2004 Democratic presidential nominee, will speak on campus Friday afternoon, September 8. Kerry’s visit is sponsored by the UMass Student Government Association and the College Democrats of Massachusetts. He is expected to discuss the value of grassroots organization and to encourage students to participate in the political process.
