Performance: S. Bear Bergman, "Monday Night in Westerbork"
The Valley premier of "Monday Night in Westerbork," a one-person performance based on a Cabaret troupe formed inside the Westerbork concentration camp. The work investigates points of intersection and impact among identity, art, persecution, and resistance, and draws on Bergman's experiences growing up Jewish among survivors of the Holocaust, visiting the concentration camps, and coming out as queer.
