UMass Community Connection Day!

Get involved and serve! Learn about community service opportunities in Amherst and beyond! Join the UMass Office of Community Service Learning for its UMass Community Connection Day as it engages students in community service projects in the Amherst community and beyond. Projects include working in local conservation areas, painting the interior and exterior of buildings, improving playgrounds, gardening, and other work organized through some 15 local community organizations and municipal programs. Participants will receive discount coupons from various Amherst businesses, get a chance to win cool stuff, and have starting the school year making a difference in the local community. Students are needed to help organize teams of student volunteers. Contact the Office of Community Service Learning to find out more. Be sure to sign-up early since numbers are limited.
