The Times They Are A-Changin':

Photographs of the University of Massachusetts Amherst Activist Community During the 1960s and 1970s and Political Poster Art.

This exhibit includes twenty-one images from the University of Massachusetts Amherst Archives Collection and the Police Department Photographic Archives showing demonstrations, activists, teach-ins, and sit-ins in the 1960s and 1970s. The photographs have been reprinted by local master printer Stan Sherer '06G.

In addition, fifteen political posters from the same time period will be on display. They are on loan from Mary Haskell.

Directions & Parking

The Student Union Building is in the central area of the UMass campus. The Art Gallery is on the first floor of the Student Union, located on the South Side the Building, across from Earth Foods and the Cape Cod Lounge. Parking is available in the adjacent Campus Center Parking Garage.
