"The Future Internet: Can we get there from here?"
The Internet has already been one of the most transformative technologies in history, and the exponentially exploding applications on it and technologies related to it portend ever more dramatic changes. Yet, there are potentially significant barriers to achieving this vision. This talk will outline the policy, legal, and technical dimensions of these challenges and then discuss in more detail the research initiative that NSF is undertaking to address the technical dimension and, thus, to inform the policy and legal discussions that need to take place.
