A Dinner Tribute to Professor Sonia Nieto
This is the evening portion of the two-part tribute to Sonia Nieto, Professor Emerita, School of Education.
In addition to a buffet dinner, this activity will offer personal and professional testimonies commemorating Professor Nieto, her work, and her commitment to multicultural education.
There will be lively musical and dance presentations as well. Jose Gonzalez and his guitar/flute/percussion trio will be performing as will the dance group Bomba.
The tribute will also serve as the official launch of the campaign to produce the Sonia Nieto Fund for Multicultural Education.
Registration for this event can be made in conjunction with, or independent from, the daytime Symposium activity.
