These sculptural works resurrect materials in partial decay,
presenting them in unnaturally occurring forms. Hollow tubes of birch bark from are constructed into quirky and calligraphic mini-vignettes while strips of a shredded phonebook are woven back together as an indecipherable mystery of miscommunication. The tampering of the
human hand is evident, yet the integrity in the origins of the materials is preserved, keeping them recognizable even in a altered state.

Directions & Parking
The Student Union Building is in the central area of the UMass campus. The Art Gallery is on the first floor of the Student Union, located on the South Side the Building, across from Earth Foods and the Cape Cod Lounge. Parking is available in the adjacent Campus Center Parking Garage.
