BFA Exhibition Series:

this will also change...

by BFA Painting candidate Chelsea Granger

Closing Reception: Friday May 12, 5-7 p.m.

free and open to all.

Chelsea Granger works in response to her observations of human interactions and relationships amongst our changing habitat. The work has a narrative quality created through a layered, fragmented response to the modern world. She is an image scavenger, picking and choosing from our cultures chaotic world of newspaper, magazine, book and Internet sources as a tool to create intricate drawings. Ideas are rendered through obsessive, observational drawing, painting and reworking of the paper surface. The work varies in scale, medium, and content but is united by her sense of purpose for making work and questioning this particular time in history.
