Making Art-Making a Living: Legal Stuff for Artists

The business and creative sides of artists are inextricably linked--no matter how proficient you are creatively, you need to think and operate like a business in order to remain successful.

The Arts Extension Service is pleased to present this annual series that explores the many facets of how to succeed as an artist.

This week's session is focused on legal issues for artists. Attorney Joshua Grey from Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts addresses legal matters such as contracts, copyright, government regulations and other issues for artists.

Thanks to a grant from the UMass Arts Council, this workshop if offered free of charge to UMass students with an ID, all others, $15 for the session. Please call Continuing Education to register 413-545-2653 and find the exact campus location.
