Marimba Concert: "From Then 'till Now: A Reunion"
The Mass Marimba band and UMass Marimba Ensembles are hosting an ambitious full-length concert. Dubbed "From Then 'till Now: A Reunion," this concert takes a look at the development from traditional Marimba Ensembles to the relatively new Marimba Band setting here at UMass.
Music will range from traditional "classical" repertoire, to 20th century chamber music, to hot jazz and latin-jazz. This concert will also feature a few guest artists and alumni who have been instrumental in making the UMass Marimba program what it is today.
