Education in China: A Workshop for Educators Interested in Teaching Global Perspectives
Global Horizons and the Center for International Education presents a workshop that serves to give K-12 school teachers and other educators an opportunity to examine their own cultural self-identities while exploring Chinese culture and its education system. Participants will receive and make teaching materials that bring a global perspective to social studies, history, culture, language, writing, geography and ultimately serve to give students a cross-cultural awareness. We will also help interested teachers start a pen-pal program between their own and Chinese students to build cross-cultural experiences.
