Building Relationships That Work: Community-Based Organizations and UMass Faculty
Join staff from other area community-based organizations for a conversation with a panel of UMass faculty who work with community-based organizations.
You will hear from several faculty members whose Community Service Learning courses enable both undergraduate and graduate students to engage in rewarding community service. Get the perspectives of faculty members on the challenges and the rewards they have encountered in building a variety of
forms of service into their courses-including short-term and long-term volunteering and special projects. You will have an opportunity to ask questions and share your own experiences, and we will conclude with a dialogue that identifies best practices for building relationships that work between community organizations and UMass faculty.
