Diane Elson Lecture

Diane Elson is professor at the University of Essex, U.K. and co-director of

the Levy Economic Institute's program on Gender Equality and the Economy. Her

research interests include gender and fiscal policy, and gender and

international trade. Her recent publications include Gender Budgets Make

Cents; What's Behind the Budget? Politics, Rights, and Accountability in the

Budget Process; and "The Social Content of Macroeconomic Policies".

The Forum on Social Wealth is a bold effort to develop a new vocabulary that recognizes the importance of the many varieties of wealth that we share in common: the natural wealth of our ecosystem, the social fabric of our families and communities, and the information and creativity that constitute our culture.

Gordon Hall is located on the east side of campus near the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and North Pleasant Street. Visitors may park at the meters in Lot #34 behind the Robsham Visitor's Center on Massachusetts Avenue.
