"Reflections - Part II" will be held at ISEL from October 27th - December 17th with a different set of pieces. The opening will be held Thursday, October 27th from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at ISEL . Signed prints by the artist will be available for sale.

Born in Montreal, Bryant Stewart received his B.F.A. in painting and printmaking from the Massachusetts College of Art and studied drawing, painting, and printmaking at Oxford University.

Stewart creates representations of classic cars and trucks, mostly from the 1930s and 1940s. In describing his technique, he says he “makes a transparent glaze using a combination of turpentine, linseed oil, and Damar varnish” (made from resin tapped from the Damar fir tree) and applies it to “marine grade plywood, which has a beautiful surface that lends itself to glazing.”
