Forum on Social Wealth Lecture: Manuel Pastor
The Forum on Social Wealth is pleased to announce that Manuel Pastor, environmental justice scholar and activist, will speak on, "Reframing Sustainability: Environmental Justice and Social Wealth," -- the second in the Forum's distinguished lecture series.
Manuel Pastor is professor of Latin American and Latino studies and director of the Center for Justice, Tolerance, and Community at the University of California, Santa Cruz. His recent publications include Regions That Work: How
Cities and Suburbs Can Grow Together, Searching for the Uncommon Common Ground: New Dimensions on Race in America, and Up Against the Sprawl: Public Policy and the Making of Southern California.
The Forum is a bold effort to develop a new vocabulary that recognizes the importance of the many varieties of wealth that we share in common: the natural wealth of our ecosystem, the social fabric of our families and communities, and the information and creativity that constitute our culture.
