Slavery and Its Legacy: A Follow-Up Conversation
A panel will discuss issues pertaining to the legacy of slavery, including lack of attention to the history of slavery, especially in the North; the persistent effects of the legacy on Black economic progress and Black family life; the impact of slavery, segregation, and racism on American institutions; and the implications of the Katrina tragedy for progress in the 21st century.
