Chemistry Department Annual Stein-Bayer Seminar with Jean Frechet
Jean Frechet, the Henry Rapoport Chair of Organic Chemistry at the University of California, Berkeley, will present the Chemistry Department's annual Stein-Bayer Seminar.
Frechet, who also heads the Materials Synthesis Program at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, will speak on “Design, Synthesis, and Applications of Functional Polymers.”
Frechet has won numerous awards and is a member of the National Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Engineering and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
The Stein-Bayer Seminar is sponsored by the Bayer Corporation and honors the seminal contributions to polymer chemistry made by Richard Stein, retired Goessmann Professor of Chemistry.
