House of Cards
House of Cards is a participatory sculptural event. Everyone is invited to join in.
House of Cards begins with a blank slate: an open gallery supplied with raw, salvaged materials, ready for use by participants. Through facilitation by Caras, MacDonald, and others, the space will evolve over the duration of the show.
Appropriation, precarity, opportunity, and cooperation will arise and collapse as the show unfolds.
This is an open invitation for everyone to build the house of cards.
Opening Reception: All day Tuesday October 11th 10 am-6 pm
Closing Reception: Thursday October 20th 4-7 pm
Directions & Parking
The Student Union Building is in the central area of the UMass campus. The Art Gallery is on the first floor of the Student Union, located on the South Side the Building, across from Earth Foods and the Cape Cod Lounge. Parking is available in the adjacent Campus Center Parking Garage.
