What Works in International Health and What is Your Role in It?

A disease that most Americans rarely think about is still out there and claiming the lives of millions of innocent children every minute. Measles - the deadly killer and the leading cause of a vaccine-preventable death - is the what claims the lives of most children in Africa.

The American Red Cross is fighting against this deadly killer with the largest international public health program, known as the Measles Initiative. Dr. Grabowsky, the architect of this initiative to save 1.2 million lives, will be visiting UMass to speak about successful models in global health. This is also an exciting opportunity to learn the skills you'll need to make the future a safe future!
