Grow Your Business: Tap Into University Resources
Learn about the many print and online business resources available to Massachusetts residents that can be used for problem-solving and strategic planning.
The UMass Amherst Libraries provide print and online resources in a variety of areas. These resources (many subscription based) would cost companies and individuals tens of thousands of dollars if purchased by a single entity. UMass Business Librarian Mike Davis will profile the collection and will provide effective and efficient research strategies.
The Regional Technology Corporation is sponsoring this event to assist members in the areas of:
Prospecting and List Building with resources such as Dun & Bradstreet and Standard & Poor’s.
Market Research Resources: LexisNexis, Industry Reports, and Market Reports.
Intellectual Property Research
A total of 17,000 journals—including most trade journals—are delivered in online format, along with thousands of company, industry, and market reports. At UMass, this collection is used to enhance business education at the Isenberg School of Management. For Massachusetts residents and businesses, however, the collection can be effectively used for problem-solving and strategic planning of their diverse enterprises.
UMass library resources are available to Massachusetts residents and businesses on a walk-in basis at no cost. The library's most important business database—General Businessfile—is also available to all Massachusetts residents remotely.
“Court Square recognizes the value and impact that the resources available at UMass have in support of business growth and strategy,” commented Keith Parent, Chairman of the RTC’s Board, and President of Court Square Data Group. Bassette Printers of Springfield is an additional sponsor of this informative event.
