Bunker Hill Day
Bunker Hill Day will be observed as an official state holiday on Friday, June 17.
Since the campus must remain open and function as usual, employees required to work on that day are entitled to another day off with pay in lieu of the holiday.
Such days off may be taken by the employee at a time approved by the department head within 120 days of the date of the holiday unless other provisions exist in collective bargaining agreements.
Bunker Hill Day commemorates The Battle of Bunker Hill, one of the decisive moments of the American Revolution.
