Dr. Linda Randall's Abbreviated Bio
Dr. Randall is Associate Provost of Academic Affairs at University of Baltimore. Major responsibilities include working with all academic schools and colleges on program development, providing leadership on special projects, and serve as liaison to the Maryland Higher Education Commission. While at Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Randall was Chair of the Department of Management, Director of the Organization Development Human Resources Program and Associate Professor of International Management. Prior to her position at Johns Hopkins University, she served as an Associate Director of the Institute of International Business, as Chair of the Management Department and as an Associate Professor of International Management at the University of Rhode Island. Dr. Randall’s scholarly research is in the area of transitioning markets with special emphasis on the Russian management culture and organizational systems. She has published extensively in the field and recently published a book Reluctant Capitalists: Russia’s Journey Through Market Transition. She was also a research scholar at the Kennan Institute for Advanced Russian Studies and worked extensively in Russia on issues of technology transfer and development of business programs. Dr. Randall received her PhD in management from University of Massachusetts-Amherst, MBA from Harvard Graduate School of Business and BA in economics and political science at Swarthmore College.
