Society for Anthropology of Consciousness: From A Peruvian Shamanic Tradition

Free Lecture: Learnings From a Peruvian Shamanic Tradition

Carlos Tanner is the apprentice of a Peruvian shaman who uses the sacred plant medicine ayahuasca. In this hands-on presentation, Carlos will talk about the preparation of the sacred brew, the healing ceremonies, the ancient songs and rhythms, the art of breathwork, the jungle diet, and the shamanic perspective. He will discuss the existence of spirits, spiritual dimensions and the roles of music and breathing in spiritual health, based on his own personal experiences in the Amazon Rainforest with the shaman Don Juan.

This event is part of the 25th Annual Anthropology of Consciousness Conference, April 13-17.
