National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame Dinner

A longtime chapter who have been serving amateur football for over 4 decades in the heart of the Berkshires, Springfield. The chapter has solid relationships with the local high schools, prep schools and the many colleges in Western Massachusetts, as well as the Springfield area football officials. Their annual scholar-athlete dinner in April has over 400 in attendance, and honors top students and the Western Mass All-Star Football Team.

The chapter also runs a 16 team summer passing league for high school players. They have also sponsored numerous football clinics. In conjunction with the Central Mass Chapter and the Shriners, they help organize the “Chowda Bowl” All-Star Football game. This summer they will have their first NFL-NFF Coaching Academy at Springfield College to benefit youth football coaches. The chapter supports a Play It Smart program at Commerce High School in Springfield.
