The Spirit of the Panther Lives On: Art, Youth and Social Action in Tanzania
Charlotte O'Neal, artist, writer, community activist and co-founder of the United African Alliance Community Center (UAACC) near Arusha, Tanzania will host a workshop on the power of art, youth, and community in social change. She will screen films by the youth at UAACC, present a power point slide show and faciliate a dynamic discussion of commuity development and the role of art and youth. She will also discuss how UMass Amherst students can volunteer at UAACC.
