Body Politics

Body Politics is an original production about women of color and body image. It explores issues such as self-esteem, sexuality, skin color, hair texture, and violence in the lives of women of color. Body Politics is an unique project which brings a diversity of women of color together to write, edit, learn, and perform.

This event is sponsored by the ALANA Health Outreach and Education Program of the Health Education Division of University Health Services in collaboration with Women of Color Leadership Network at the Everywoman's Center, the Educator Advocate Program at the Everywoman's Center, and the Office of ALANA Affairs.

Body Politics is supported by Asian Americans for Political Action (AAPA), Black Student Union (BSU), Native American Student Association (NASA), Tapestry Health, UMass Arts Council, and the UMass Women's Studies Department.
