Voices from the Inside: Women Prisoners Read Their Work
The mission of Voices from the Inside is two-fold: "to facilitate writing workshops for women prisoners and ex-prisoners to tell their own stories in their own voices; and to bring their stories to the community to increase awareness of the human and financial costs of prisons to our society... and to change public perception about the lives of those who are incarcerated through interaction between the writers and the larger community."
