Paula England will present the first 2005 Tay Gavin Erickson Lecture.
Dr. England is Professor of Sociology at Stanford University. Her research and teaching have focused on gender inequality at work and at home and on integrating sociological, economic, demographic, and feminist perspectives. She is the author of Comparable Worth (1992) and Households, Employment, and Gender (1986, with George Farkas). From 1994-96 she was editor of the American Sociological Review. She has held positions at the University of Texas-Dallas, University of Arizona, University of Pennsylvania, and Northwestern University.
