2005 Community Tree Conference
Practical Solutions to Challenging Problems:
This one-day conference will introduce tree wardens, arborists, foresters, landscape architects and other land managers to some of the challenges and opportunities facing them in the establishment, protection and preservation of community trees. How we cope with these issues will determine the appearance of New England's Community Landscapes for future generations.
UMass Extension, USDA Forest Service's Northeast Center for Urban and Community Forestry, and the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation are sponsoring this annual conference.
All proceeds are used to support outreach and extension activities in Arboriculture and Community Forestry.
Keynote speakers include Dr. Brian Kane, University of Massachusetts; Dr. Jason Grabosky, Rutgers University; and members of the Massachusetts Dept. of Conservation and Resources and the U.S. Forest Service.
ISA, MAA, SAF, MCH, MCLP, ASLA credits and pesticide contact hours will be awarded. Coffee break and parking pass included in registration fee.
