Implementing School IPM

The implementation of a School IPM Program starts with changing one's perspective from traditional pest management practices to a more encompassing perspective of pest management. In addition to the changing pest management practices it is also necessary to set-up an IPM plan and, if hiring out-of-house services, consider a pest management contract.

The IPM Plan - The IPM plan, is a document that describes the organization and implementation of IPM on school grounds. The purpose of the pest management plan is to consolidate and organize all of the information pertaining to a school’s pest management practices.

IPM Contracts – Properly worded IPM contracts assure that outside contractors follow principles and practices that are desired by the school community.
