PRODUCTION DATES/IDENTIFYING CODES: Produced on various dates between January 2000 and December 2004. The products subject to recall are: 12 oz. packages of "TRADER JOE'S Chicken Biryani, Traditional Indian Style White Chicken Biryani over Steamed Rice." Each package bears the code "0022 5250." The establishment code "P-19362" appears inside the USDA mark of inspection.
PROBLEM/REASON FOR RECALL: The product was marinated in yogurt, which was not declared on the label. Yogurt contains milk, a potential allergen.
HOW/WHEN DISCOVERED: The problem was discovered through a routine label audit conducted by the firm.
