PRODUCTS RECALLED: Imported Frozen Chicken Pot Pie

PRODUCTION DATES/IDENTIFYING CODES: The product was produced on March 06, 2004, at establishment # 445, Morrison Lamothe, Inc., Toronto, ON, Canada.

The products subject to recall are 16 oz. packages of “Stouffer’s CHICKEN POT PIE.” No other sizes or varieties of Stouffer’s brand products are affected by the recall. Each package bears the code “445” inside the Canadian mark of inspection. The packages bear the UPC code “13800-10635.” Also included on each label is the production code “4066VH,”followed by a letter (A-Z).

PROBLEM/REASON FOR RECALL: The product is adulterated with extraneous material (small pieces of glass and/or plastic).

HOW/WHEN DISCOVERED: The import of record, Nestle Prepared Foods Company, received several consumer complaints and reports of minor injuries. Consequently, Nestle contacted FSIS and initiated the recall voluntarily.
