Product sold in Shaw's Supermarkets Across New England and Star Markets in
Massachusetts
West Bridgewater, MA, April 8,
2004 - Shaw's Supermarkets has voluntarily removed from sale
its 48oz. (3lb.) package of Shaw's Brand Frozen Italian Meatballs,
sold at Shaw's Supermarkets throughout New England and Star Markets
in Massachusetts. The product is being recalled because pieces
of glass or glass-like substance have been found in some meatballs.
The recalled Shaw's Brand Frozen
Italian Meatballs has an expiration date of 01-08-05 and the following
UPC bar code: 045674 58925. Customers who
purchased the Shaw's Brand Frozen Italian Meatballs can bring the
product back to any Shaw's or Star Market for a full refund. Customers
