Next Steps

The White Eagles in attendance discussed what we need to do next. Among the ideas discussed were:

1. Communication

· John will create a web page

· Peter will help develop a Blogger communication tool

· We each will call someone to tell them what we did

· Each post a message to the listserve

· John is available to consult throughout the project (call him)

2. Between now and October, we will:

· Define our individual HMDC, create learning objectives and define the audience

· Write our HMDC’s (such as, “which toothpaste should I buy”)

· Practice teaching with an HMDC, if possible

· Invite other White Eagles to give feedback when we teach

· Test our HMDC’s with multiple audiences

· Journal about what worked and what didn’t

· Clarify the audience for this project

· Communicate with other White Eagles

3. In October, we will:

· Run our new HMDC’s

· Talk about where we are with our individual learning communities

· Practice teaching with HMDC’s

· Create a protocol on “how to teach with HMDC’s”

· Discuss our frustrations and learnings

· Celebrate
