Leadership for Social Change in Mexico – a new “Honors” Community Service Learning Course through University of Massachusetts Amherst Commonwealth College and the International Programs Office

HONORS 397 I – Leadership for Social Change (more formerly known as “Participatory Leadership: Consensus, Conflict and Community” will be taught in Mexico from January 3-21, 2005.  This is an International Community Service Learning course offered through Commonwealth College and the UMass International Programs Office.  The course will be taught at an ecovillage south of Mexico City. The focus of the course will be on participatory decision making, conflict resolution, issues of power, understanding root causes of conflict, and more.  For a syllabus, see SYLLABUS.
