Built: 1886-1887 The State Agricultural Experiment Station was begun in 1878 after William Clark, Levi Stockbridge, and Charles Goessman had carried on numerous important studies on crops, fruits, fertilizers, etc. It was the first experiment station in the United States connected with a state college. In 1887 the Hatch Act gave Federal funds for this building. The building cost $15,000. |
