As with your experience in community college, UMass Amherst prepares financial aid packages for qualifying students. Typically, these packages combine grants, loans, and work study resources to help students afford the cost of attending the university. Following are a few examples of financial aid packages. Actual packages will vary based on each student's individual information submitted through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form.

**In addition, if you qualify for the Tuition Advantage Program the state will provide a 1/3 tuition waiver valued at $565.62 and UMass Amherst will award the UMass Amherst TAP Match Grant valued at $1,148.38. When combined the awards equal a full tuition scholarship.
