UMass Amherst requires that MassTransfer students have a final GPA of 2.5 or higher. Some majors are more selective and require a specific GPA and/or strong grades in related or pre-requisite coursework; these requirements can be found below.

Architecture, Dance, and Music

Business (Isenberg School of Management)
BBA majors – Accounting, Finance, Management, Marketing, and Operations & Information Management – require:
- Completion of an associate degree mapped or linked to the Isenberg School of Management
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher at all colleges and universities attended,
- C or higher in calculus OR B- or higher in precalculus, and
- Predictor courses with grades of B- or higher. Predictor courses include: macroeconomics, microeconomics, financial accounting (or accounting 1 and 2), and managerial accounting (if it is included in your associate degree requirements). Exceptions to these minimum grade requirements may be made on a case-by-case basis.
Completion of an associate degree mapped or linked to the Computer Science major with a GPA of 2.7 or higher.
C or higher in macroeconomics or microeconomics.
Completion of an associate degree linked to the College of Engineering with a GPA of 2.7 or higher.
A GPA of 2.7 or higher and strong grades in related math and science courses.
Completion of an associate degree mapped or linked to the Isenberg School of Management with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
