As a student, your participation in the UMass Rising campaign is a lot like your participation in your classes.  It matters.  Raise your hand in class and you get noticed.  Raise money for the campaign, your university gets noticed.

Every dollar matters.  Many of the enriched programs and activities that take place on campus wouldn't happen if it weren't for generous donors -- including future alumni who will benefit most from giving a little back today.

Key funding agencies and national associations judge UMass by the number of people who give back to the university.  The more who give, the better we get.  Better rankings, better funding, better faculty, better programs.  All just because you participated.

So, choose the area you want to support: scholarships, registered clubs, your particular school or college program – or whichever matters most to you.  What matters most is that you participated.
