$10 Million Campaign Gift to Create Center for Enterpreneurship

Longtime supporters Douglas and Diana Berthiaume have committed $10 million to the UMass Rising campaign to create a world-class Center for Entrepreneurship within the university’s Isenberg School of Management.  The Berthiaumes’ donation builds on the couple’s extraordinary support for the university, which includes a previous gift of $5 million in support of Isenberg School initiatives.

According to Vice Chancellor for Development Mike Leto, “The Berthiaume’s generosity has been and will continue to be transformative for this flagship campus. This commitment truly magnifies the value they place on the education Doug received here.  In addition to their financial support, we have been the lucky recipients of Doug’s valuable time and the wisdom he has shared as a director of the UMass Amherst Foundation Board and campaign co-chair.”
