The microbial fermentation laboratory offers equipment to perform cell culture investigations. In addition to the major instrumentation listed above, the Laboratory houses other items needed for microbial culture experiments including a laminar flow hood, autoclave, incubator shaker, research grade microscope, balance, pipettors, plain shakers and glassware. We also have access to a Waters Alliance HPLC system for off-line measurement of other extracellular species concentrations and a FACSAria flow cytometer and cell sorter for cell population studies.
