Scientific Reasoning Research Institute

We are an interdisciplinary research organization devoted to the study of learning and instruction in the sciences and mathematics. Our members come from and are associated with many disciplines, departments, and colleges on campus, including Psychology, Education, Engineering, Physics, and Biology. Our mission is to conduct research on reasoning and cognitive processes involved in the learning of science and mathematics, and to apply these findings to improve science and mathematics education.
