Muscle Biology and Imaging Laboratory
The mission of the laboratory is to unravel the complex mechanisms of human skeletal muscle function. To accomplish this, we study the muscle's response to an environmental challenge, such as overexertion, disuse, and training. Our studies currently focus on understanding the underpinnings of muscle damage, atrophy, and hypertrophy and their functional outcomes.
