Heroes, Horses and Hounds

Heroes, Horses and Hounds is a 501c3, non-profit. We are dedicated to improving our communities by helping the people and animals in them. Our mission is to save two lives at once by rescuing unwanted horses and dogs and retraining them for service and animal assisted programs.

By offering a wide variety of programs and classes we are able to reach a large number of people in need. Our classes and programs are designed to help Veterans, Kids at risk, People recovering from strokes and using prosthetics, inmates, and people with PTSD and Autism.

Baystate Health Foundation (Griffin's Friends Children's Cancer Fund Only)

     The goal of Griffin's Friends is to bring moments of joy to courageous kids.  Griffin’s Friends is a group of volunteers dedicated to providing support to children with cancer.  Griffin’s Friends has come to know that small acts of kindness can provide the relief that children and families need in times of greatest turmoil.  Countless expressions of hope and support result from Griffin’s Friends activities each year.

Friends of Hampshire County Homeless Individuals Inc

Our mission is to provide financial and volunteer support for the Interfaith Emergency Shelter for homeless individuals and its associated programs.

Homelessness can happen to anyone at anytime.  It knows no boundaries, and it effects hundreds of people right here in Hampshire County each year. Thankfully, there are many organizations in town to help the homeless, and the Friends is proud to be one of them.

Workshop 13

Workshop13 is a non-profit cultural arts and learning center in Ware. We offer classes and workshops in fine arts and crafting, photography, ceramic arts, and personal growth. Scholarships for children with financial need are offered through referrals from local school teachers and caseworkers. We also host monthly open mic nights, concerts, and we offer a great venue for private events. Workshop 13 includes the ArtWorks Gallery and ClayWorks, a pottery studio, which are revitalizing downtown Ware.

Friends of Tilton Library (South Deerfield, MA)

The Friends of Tilton Library support South  Deerfield's library by funding library programs and events, providing museum passes for patron check-out, and purchasing  books and media items for the library's collection.
