Phi Beta Kappa, Nu of MA Chapter at UMass Amherst

Phi Beta Kappa is the oldest (founded in 1776) and most prestigious academic honor society in the United States recognizing academic excellence in the liberal arts and sciences. UMass Amherst students with excellent records in the liberal arts and sciences may be inducted into the chapter as juniors or seniors. Support for the chapter allows us to subvent the initiation fee (charged by the national Phi Beta Kappa Society) for students for whom that fee would be a barrier to joining.

Rainbow Rescues

Rainbow Rescues Inc is a 501c3, foster based, animal rescue located in Western Massachusetts. We are an all volunteer run rescue dedicated to helping pets in need.

Amherst Community Land Trust (ACLT)

The Amherst Community Land Trust works to expand affordable family home-ownership in Amherst while working to stabilize our family-friendly neighborhoods.  Using a well-established community land trust model, the ACLT purchases the land under a house and leases it to the new owner, thus reducing the purchase cost and making it affordable to low or moderate income households.

Belchertown Education Foundation Inc.

The mission of the BEF is to support Belchertown public schools in providing an enriching educational experience that supports the academic, artistic, and athletic pursuits of Belchertown’s students as they develop into well-educated and well-rounded young adults.
