What is sports medicine?
Sports medicine is a practice specialty focusing on:
• injury treatment and prevention;
• exercise; and
• athletic performance.
The UHS Sports Medicine Clinic treats sports-related acute and chronic injuries and problems. Care includes splints, casts and injections; UHS’ on-site physical therapy and radiology departments also serve clinic patients.
Who can use the clinic?
If you’re eligible for services at UHS, you can use the Sports Medicine Clinic. You don’t need to be a member of an organized UMass sports team.
When is the clinic open?
The clinic sees patients Thursdays from 10 a.m. – noon, and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. – noon.
How do I make an appointment?

Who are the providers?
UMass Amherst team physicians Pierre Rouzier, M.D. and Greg Little, M.D.
The clinic works closely with area orthopedic providers and uses nearby facilities for certain tests, including MRI, CT and bone scans.
