Health Education, Community Outreach & Marketing


The department responsible for innovative programs, entertaining events and eye-catching materials about health and well-being does all this and more!

The Athletic Health Enhancement Program (AHEP) helps athletes maximize their achievements in the game, in the classroom and in life.

Health Education is also home to the Center for Alcohol and other Drug Abuse Prevention, which works to promote an environment that supports responsible decision-making regarding alcohol and other drug use, on campus and in the community.

Our Mission

Our mission is to improve personal and campus health and well-being by increasing health literacy, improving access to health information and services and influencing policies and norms that promote public health and social justice.

Meet Our Staff

Our staff includes health educators, a nutritionist, prevention specialists, graphics, marketing and administrative professionals, and an active team of graduate assistants and student workers.
