FSAP Mission

The mission of the University of Massachusetts Amherst’s Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FSAP) is to assist employees and family members of participating institutions in the resolution of personal and work-related problems through confidential counseling, consultation, referrals, mediation/conflict resolution, health promotion and other specialized services. Through its services, FSAP is dedicated to the promotion, improvement and enhancement of the personal well-being and work life of its clientele.

FSAP recognizes and values the diversity of the community it serves and does not discriminate based on race, ethnicity, social class, culture, sex, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, age, abilities, religious beliefs, genetic information and world views. FSAP provides client services within an environment where respect, dignity and human agency take precedence.

FSAP Advisory Board

The FSAP Advisory Board reflects the diverse community it serves and, through no less than two meetings per academic year, will advise and support FSAP leadership and staff in how best to achieve FSAP’s stated mission.
