UHS provides comprehensive health and wellness services for the UMass Amherst campus community, with a special focus on the needs and concerns of college students.

UHS is not a hospital and does not have an emergency department. In a life-threatening emergency, always call 911 for ambulance transportation to a hospital.

Choosing a PCP

Your primary care provider, or PCP, coordinates your health care and can refer you for services as needed.

UHS’ staff includes physicians who are board-certified in family practice, internal medicine, pediatrics and sports medicine; family nurse practitioners collaborate with physicians and provide a full range of primary care services.
